HANDS OF GRACE
We are here to see the Kumi community thrive and that families are self sustaining, living in the hope that Jesus brings.
OUR PASSION
So many families struggle due to AIDS and the death of one or more parents, meaning that so many children are living below the poverty line and unable to go to school.
OUR MISSION
To help up those in the community who are struggling, enabling the most vulnerable children to go to school and helping care givers to become self sustaining.
-
Simon has a heart for his community and in particular for the vulnerable children that have not been able to access education. Many of these children are orphans or come from families that are not able to afford school fees.
We have started a programme to get 20 of the most vulnerable into school, and Simon has built a relationship with the families and the schools to track progress. This is really only the first step, as ideally we want to empower the caregivers to gain skills and a livelihood so that they can sustain their own needs. Working with the community, Simon is building plans to find the right solution to develop those skills, which could either be through a training school or a farming business.
