GREY TO GREEN
We are creating a vibrant fellowship of disabled women who courageously seek to make a difference for their families and their community.
OUR PASSION
In Kenya, many women who have a disability are exploited and overlooked, forced to beg on the streets to scratch a living for themselves and their children - this is not okay.
OUR MISSION
We empower Kenyan women with disabilities by seeing them and offering a hand up though employment, safer housing and other support.

Irene is a dynamic leader who has brought together a community of people living with physical challenges to create a welcoming space, a listening ear and the chance to learn new skills and find work.
Despite her own physical limitations, Irene continues to grow and develop the work while helping more disabled people, many of whom are women and most are mothers, to recognise their own value and find dignity in their lives.
Grey to Green was created and now occupies a small shop in the heart of Nakuru city in Kenya, making and selling liquid soaps, bags and handicrafts and recycling metal and other materials. It's a joy to see this idea blossom into reality, and it is now fully registered as a Community Based Organisation (CBO). Irene has more plans, so watch this space!
