MATUMAINI REHABILITATION CENTRE

Matumaini cares for and rehabilitates disabled children, including reaching out to those at risk in their communities.

OUR PASSION

We want to see these children reach their full potential and to lead the way in building a local society where disabled children are loved, valued, safe and nurtured.

OUR MISSION

We provide comprehensive care for disabled and disadvantaged children, encompassing physical, spiritual and emotional rehabilitation.

  • We partner with other disability projects, helping to restore the lives of some of the world’s most marginalised children.

We provide medical care, rehabilitation and education for children in our care.

Through workshops, advocacy, disability support groups and collaborative relationships, we’re working to:

    • combat lack of knowledge and cultural beliefs that leave disabled children at risk of harm.

    • teach parents and carers of children with disabilities how to care for a disabled child.

    • empower families with ways to earn a living and provide for themselves so they are better able to look after their children.

    • mobilise local churches to teach about child protection and lead the way in creating societies where disabled children can flourish.
