OUR PASSION
A modern monastery, a place where we see lives transformed by the love of God, through nature, beauty, community, and the practice of spiritual disciplines.

Casa de Pan is part of Wandering Monks, a Cultural Association registered with the Spanish Ministry of Interior (number 622473).

OUR MISSION
We are completing the construction of Casa de Pan, a place of rest and nourishment for body, soul and spirit on the portuguese Camino.

At the end of 2017, we found the house we had been looking for all those years: a Galician stone house on the Camino de Santiago. On the eve of Christmas Eve, we moved to km 15.360 of the Portuguese Way. What we did not know at that time was that our specific need for housing would also be the fulfillment of an even greater dream.
At the beginning of 2019 we presented an offer for the house next door “A Casa Vella” (“The Old House, in Galician), a more than 200 year old house, to turn it into a place of refuge, rest, care and hospitality to those who need it: Casa de Pan.
At the end of 2020 and- through crowdfunding- we managed to raise the necessary funds to buy it and begin its restoration. It’s been a longer process than we expected, but we are now so close to the finish line. We hope to open our doors soon!
