WICKLIFE OMENDAH
Wicklife Omendah is a Kenyan Christian leader, evangelist and philanthropist. As the founder and executive director of Christ Care Ministries International (CCMI), he has dedicated his life to evangelism, discipleship and community development in rural western Kenya. His journey is one of resilience, overcoming early hardships and boldly pursuing his calling despite significant challenges.
Born in Kisumu City in 1982, Wicklife faced extreme poverty and homelessness until he was taken in by Covenant Children's Home, a Christian orphanage. Through education and mentorship, he was introduced to Christianity, which profoundly shaped his path. In 1998, he accepted Christ as his Saviour, and by 2001, he felt a divine calling to return to his native Migori village as a missionary. This conviction led to the founding of CCMI in December 2002, with a vision of spreading the gospel and addressing holistic community needs.
Under Wicklife's leadership, CCMI has grown into a multifaceted ministry. Its initiatives include church planting, a Bible school for training pastors, a children's home, an academy for orphaned children and outreach programmes such as a sports ministry, care ministry, widows ministry and a rescue center protecting children from trafficking and FGM in the Kuria community. His work has had a transformative impact, both spiritually and socially, in western Kenya.
Wicklife's personal life reflects his commitment to faith and service. He is married to Lilian, and together they have children, actively partnering in ministry. His story—from a street child to a respected Christian leader—exemplifies the power of faith, resilience and compassionate intervention. Through CCMI, he continues to spread hope and make a lasting difference in the lives of many.
