OUR MISSION
To provide a safe, welcoming space where those facing isolation or emotional struggle can connect, create and grow in confidence through food, friendship and craft.

A safe and welcoming space has been created to enable people who are isolated or are struggling to meet together. Sharing food is a key essential and those who gather have the chance to create art through a variety of crafts. Sculpture, painting, knitting, crocheting and card-making are just a few - arts such as these really help to relieve anxiety and stress that our friends experience.
In addition to these fantastic, creative pursuits, Craft and Connect offers people the opportunity to learn about cooking and managing a healthy diet on a budget.
These times provide a place to come and just be who you are, to be valued and cared for, no matter what your personal challenges might be. It is encouraging to see people begin to trust, to be less passive and to observe an increase in self-confidence and self-worth. Beginning to build a friendship network has helped people out of isolation which brings greater joy into their situations.
Craft and Connect also offers opportunities for those engaging with it to encounter the Gospel, whether through film, puppet shows or general conversation, providing opportunities to encounter Jesus and find true, lasting hope and an eternal friendship with Him.
This vital lifeline costs time investment and money. If you would like to join the team to help, or feel able to contribute to this financially, then we would love to hear from you. On average, this event costs an average of £120.00 per week to run.
