We are Moving!
We are excited to announce that Nea Zoi has officially found a new home!
This will serve as our office and ministry drop-in centre, not only being the base of our operations, but also where we will continue to conduct our vocational workshops with women, as well as being a safe space for them to come and connect, receiving the support and encouragement they need. Photos of the new site are below!
The main impetus behind our move is motivated by security issues. Our current space has become too unsafe for the beneficiaries/women we serve. Traffickers have started housing women out of our same building (same floor in fact), and so therefore to continue to have the women we serve come to our office would be unacceptable and inappropriate.
In addition to safety issues, the water and electric supply for the entire commercial building is unreliable and frequently non-functional. Seeing as we regularly have women come to our office for various vocational workshops, counselling sessions or a safe reprieve from their daily exploitation, not having these fundamental and basic needs is untenable and significantly hinders our capacity to carry out our mission and ministry to these vulnerable women.
This new office has several different areas that allows us to simultaneously offer the support services/programmes for women while still ensuring privacy when needed, whether that be for counselling sessions or workshops, while still being a functional space that allows for the administrative side of the ministry.
This process is a leap of faith.
God has been faithful in guiding us through this search, and we know and trust that He will continue to be.
While we have enough funds to pay the required deposit and realtor fees, as well as the rent for the first several months, we are taking a step of faith trusting that the Lord will provide the remaining funds that are needed to stay in this space.
With that said, we are looking for individuals who feel lead, called and compelled to support us in this ministry financially.
We are needing to raise £1,000.00 in regular monthly giving.
